Lisa has been making art professionally for comics, kid's books, and cartoons since 2000, after earning a BFA in Illustration at Parsons School of Design in New York. Her work has included graphic novel adaptations of classic literature, book covers for young and middle grade readers, and character and storyboard design for animations.
In 2014, with partners Lynly Forrest and Kelly Sue Milano, she started the independent comic label HexComix and began creating and illustrating its flagship title, Hex11, earning a nomination for the first ever Dwayne McDuffie Award for Diversity.
Lisa lives and works in Los Angeles, California, where she enjoys healthy doses of satire, gin martinis, and classic rock radio.
